SNCF renews its collaboration with the CEPOVETT Group, under the sign of femininity
Since June 1, 2018, SNCF has begun deploying new lockers intended for the 51,000 agents of the Network and Mobility technical teams.
The French leader in professional clothing, which has been outfitting railway workers since 2013 with personal protective equipment (PPE), has completely redesigned its lockers and created a full collection for women. The result: better working conditions for all SNCF female employees.
In three years, CEPOVETT will supply 2 million items, including 1 million in PPE.These new collections, designed by CEPOVETT Safety — the Group’s specialized brand — mark a national first: a technical PPE wardrobe specifically developed for women in a company of national scope.
SNCF’s commitment: promoting female staff
With this unprecedented rollout, SNCF offers its female team members the same level of choice, comfort, and safety as men.
The new cuts take into account the female body shape:
- Tops and jackets with bust darts and fitted waists
- Trousers with a tailored waist, adapted inseam height, and raised back for better comfort
- Secondary wardrobe: from thermal underwear to parkas, including down jackets, fleeces, and softshells.

Safety and comfort: high standards
The collaborative work between CEPOVETT Safety and SNCF made it possible to define three ranges — M1, M2, M5 — adapted to all technical risks (electrostatic charges, electric arc, flame, high visibility, etc.).
Comfort remains central:
- Trousers with knee pad pockets
- Lumbar protection for winter
- Easy care: the PPE withstands professional washing perfectly, in accordance with European regulations.
A harmonized wardrobe for a strong identity
Thanks to feedback from field agents, SNCF now offers a single wardrobe, adapted to different professions and risks, with a wide range of complementary products (down jackets, fleeces, softshells, parkas, etc.).
CEPOVETT Safety is also innovating in logistics:
- Partnerships with Codupal (specialist in rainwear) and Lafuma (outdoor and sportswear) for a complete “bad weather” collection
- Centralized logistics: easy restocking, direct delivery to each site, personalized labeling, and individual security for each delivery.
